Joes Crab Shack in Garden Grove

This location is amazing!Everyone was so friendly! I told our waitress, Shawna, that it has been three years since I ate a Joe’s because the location in Houston closed after Hurricane Harvey. She was so great and so happy to make our experience great. I got a Queen crab bucket and the shrimp and crab dip. I have been craving the shrimp and crab dip for years! It was exactly how I remember it being, soo good! I also tried the peach lemonade and it was delicious. While we were eating the manager came over and he was also so nice!Thank you for a great night.

It had been 5 years since I had last visited Joe's crab shack. I do believe the food quality is not as good as it was back then. Though the server was friendly and helpful the service was slow. The one thing I did notice was they were very good about pushing the Landry Club thing - where you gain points throughout all their restaurants. Not high on my recommendation list.

We went here as a group of 20ish and the food and drinks were decent but nothing special. Potatoes and corn were barely cooked but the crab was decent. There are better seafood places for the price you pay. The service we got from our waiter was great.

This is an hidden jem! Very underrated. Our dishes were very good (crab cakes and fish and chips). The ambiance and decor of the place is top notch and the staff is amazing. This place truly made our last night in San Francisco special! Can't wait to go again.

The Steamed Classic Crab for two was amazing. My husband also ordered King Crab as a add on. The service was the best I've seen in a long time. Yanny was super. Definitely did not leave hungry.

We were there celebrating a birthday and had so much fun! Our server was Josh and he was awesome. Super friendly and provided great service. Food was great!! We will be back.

My brother, and husband took my mother out for a surprise birthday dinner and had an exquisite time. Our server Jayden was amazing. On top of his great personality, he was informative, quick, and helpful. He made our dining experience a great one. It was our first time eating at a Joe's Crab Shack and we will definitely be coming back when we can. Social distancing was reinforced professionally, everything was clean, the food was delicious, and the environment was lovely.

Ordered a fish and shrimp plate and got an itty bitty tiny little cup of marinara and tartar. They don't allow you to put special requests so no way to even ask for more if you're willing to pay for it.

Excellent food and amazing service! This is just a fun place. I love going here. I wish they still had one in Utah.

Deep fried seafood at a reasonable price. The staff is very friendly and joked with us. Chowder was very tasty.

I love joes and this location is one of the best. They have plenty of patio seating also.

I ate here July 10th with my boyfriend and it was suppose to be a very special dinner. I get everything is just opening back up but undercooking seafood can make people sick! My shrimp trio had 2 out of 3 shrimp were extremely undercooked. My boyfriend tried crab for his first time and half of it ended up being undercooked as well with his potatoes being hard. Trying so much under cooked seafood made me sick after. We had a whole sunset walk planned and we had to head home because I was throwing up. I am very disappointed in our visit and it really through me off seafood for a long while. Make sure your food is cooked throughoutly before you dig in here at Joe's Crab Shack!

This restaurant gives wonderful service as well as delightful menu. One of the best place around here. The drinks and food arrived rapidly and the rates were inexpensive. I recommend this place.

Food was great and service was fast. Our waitress was Kimberly and she was amazing. She was super friendly and helpful. Went in and was seated immediately. Everyone was super friendly. Highly recommend this place. Especially for families. Great location on the corner.

The food was great, it's a great family spot. The price is average. It could've had a little more food for the steam pot serving for the price you pay. But it was delicious and flavorful and a fair mix. I'd come here again

It was just okay. My shrimp was overcooked. My rice was Bland. And we had gotten there just as it opened for lunch. The rest of the people in my party kind of felt the same that it was just okay. Nothing seemed to wow us. But it was a nice clean place, and our server was nice. Sorry, I forgot to take pics.

Awesome as always!!! Every Friday me and the girls hit Joes up and have a blast! Staff is super friendly and as a big plus - the bathrooms are kept spotless :)

It was an over good meal, the only downside was trying to be sold a membership to the corporate restaurant group when we first sat down at the table.

Service was good, very easy talking to us and patient, stake vegetables and pasta or good I think the shrimp and the crab needs to be a little bit bigger

We were here for lunch. Very conveniently located close to Anaheim Marriott Suites. About 5 minutes walk from the hotel.We tried the crab sandwich and fish and chips. All very good.The lunch prices were very reasonable and the service was good.

Employees were friendly and sanitized tables and chairs consistently. It was nice to eat out after all these months on lockdown. Forgot about the pandemic for a short while before it was back to mask 😷 life. Free parking is always a plus!

I would give this no stars if I could.. Do Not eat at that restaurant, Please read their negative reviews. I Do Not recommend this place to anyone. 1st time visiting there and I got very sick eating their seafood. Don't waste your money there's way best seafood_ restaurants around. Customer service is terrible they have no skills handling this kind of issues. They lied and tried to coverup their restaurant handling food the wrong way and making people sick. It was my 1st time eating their food and the last time.They probably begged people to rate their place with 5 stars.

Okay so as a first timer, this place was not that bad. The service from Landy was amazing that's why the four stars, the food was okay I feel it could've had a little bit of more flavor and the prices were high compared to what we're used to but overall it was okay. But I think I that the main reason I would be back would be for the service, we had a really good experience! Shout out to Landy, thank you for the awesome service!

As a local of Anaheim, I can say this place is an amazing restaurant to go to with the whole family or with a friend. As the name would suggest, they have amazing crab despite not being near the ocean. In fact, I'd say that there are a lot of good things about this location. The staff is amazing, the decor is breathtaking, the food as I have said before is absolutely delicious, and the city exclusive merchandise makes this experience even more memorable. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

The experience was terrible. I'm not from that area so I'm pretty disappointed that the first time my family and I ate at this location it turned out horrible. The service was bad, our waitress had a bad attitude, almost like she didn't want to be working or recieve a good tip, every time we asked for something she seemed bothered and most of the things we asked for we got a "no we don't have that right now because of Corona virus..." which is understandable, but, the waitress didn't say it before hand or establish any kind of communication. The food took forever to get to us and then when we finally ate and left, my son, one of my daughters, my boyfriend along with myself felt really sick... So sick to the point of us having to pull our vehicle over on our way home because my son had to puke on the side of the road... I've been to other Joe's Crab Shack's and never had a bad experience like this one here.

The food was too expensive to be so average. We had to keep waiting for our server when there wasn't many others there. The bathroom area smelled so horrible that it floated through to the dining area. I had to hold it until I left. The way they so called celebrate a birthday is a joke. Even though the table is small they have half of it covered with big buckets and no knives. Worst seafood place i ever been to. The seasoning on the seafood boil was weak and had very little sauce in it and none served on the side. Never again for me.

Fun place to eat crab and seafood! Friendly staff. We drove up here since the Newport Beach location closed and this location didn't disappoint.

I haven't been here in a few years, so it was pretty good. The server we had on this day was awesome. I can't say enough about this gentleman. He's a personable guy and he's good with kids. In my books, you treat my kids good it says a lot about your character.I had the lobster tails which were sweet and delish. One of my boys had Captains Catch which he liked. It came with battered fish, mozza sticks and battered shrimp. My other son had seafood nachos. My wife ate the fish tacos. All was tasty. I remember coming here in 2001 when they use to dance in the restaurant.Oh well, still a fun place to eat.

I was just at this location, an employee not working just there to pick up some food without a mask went up to the bar standing over my drinks that where being made, none of the masked employees told him to back up I had to tell him to move back, his girlfriend said to me I could tell by your mask you'd say something, I informed them I work in the ICU & see death everyday, she replied "I dont care" I will go elsewhere for my food the employees there don't care!

Must say, had a great experience tonight. Our server, Austin, went above and beyond. Went through all our options and his favorite dishes and did so in a way that didn't seem rushed. Made the whole time we were there seem like we were the only ones. He was extremely attentive and funny. Food was good as usual as well. Kids didn't say one word as they were too busy digging in their kid meal pots which were decently sized. The shark drink was cute. Someone brought them out and he did the whole bit and also seemed to be enjoying himself. Playground was a great touch for the kids as well. All in all, awesome!

We love eating out. Last night we came to this superb restaurant which we didn’t know before. We enjoyed a beautiful time there with superb cooking and an experienced stuff and a professional cuisine. We put this venue in our phone list and we shall certainly visit again soon. We deeply recommend.

Austin was great he was on it. He went above and beyond i had a little get together of 35 of my family and everything was on point. Great job.

This place was the bomb. I was there celebrating my bestie birthday. It was great from the greeter to our server. We even got a little dance performance😁😁

I don’t recall what I ordered from here during my visit to Garden Grove but I do recall enjoying it so I came back the next day to try something else from the menu. I was staying in the motel right across the street on vacation so it was very convenient to just walk across the parking lot basically to grab a bite to eat. I’d definitely return here if I ever visit the Grove again.

Came on a Sunday night and the place was pretty busy. We were a party of 7 and got seated within 10 minutes. We ordered our drinks and food pretty quick. Our waiter was great and gave us free drinks for the long wait for our food. Overall we had great service and the food was good too.
